The Recruit poster

Stars: Al Pacino, Colin Farrell, Bridget Moynahan

Country: USA

Runtime: 115 min

Storyline: In an era when the country's first line of defense, intelligence, is more important than ever, this story opens the CIA's infamous closed doors and gives an insider's view into the Agency: how trainees are recruited, how they are prepared for the spy game, and what they learn to survive. James Clayton might not have the attitude of a typical recruit, but he is one of the smartest graduating seniors in the country – and he's just the person that Walter Burke wants in the Agency. James regards the CIA's mission as an intriguing alternative to an ordinary life, but before he becomes an Ops Officer, James has to survive the Agency's secret training ground, where green recruits are molded into seasoned veterans. As Burke teaches him the ropes and the rules of the game, James quickly rises through the ranks and falls for Layla, one of his fellow recruits. But just when James starts to question his role and his cat-and-mouse relationship with his mentor…

I could not really look at, because after a nice intro, they began to throw around technical terms in any consistent way. Just complete nonsense false. If the direction is used technobabble in Star Trek, I can understand. But the use of technical terms of the real world in a completely wrong way is something for technicians screaming and begging to stop.

I’ll jump straight to the point in this review, so SPOILER ALERT! The end left me nagging questions. Apparently, James Clayton was born to be a ghost (it’s in your blood), then how come he can not say a gun loaded with blanks one loaded with real bullets. He also checked the magazine. We have to assume he knows what real bullets like, or what the shot ammunition feels when you pull the trigger. And if his instinct is quite perfect, because he could not know that the gun was empty and the final scene of the foiled suicide attempt by Burke “cop?” We all know that ghosts stronger, police officers and investigators shots have done for years (at least in Hollywood) But for the general forum in the plot was: .. Why Clayton, also given the task of Burke Burke first place if all he wanted was the “Ice Nine” program code? He convinced Layla and Zack remove the flight code so why would he need to stop Clayton? Each motif has come to explain this “plot” ends with the conclusion that he had to kill all the people involved in any way to get away with the caper at the end.
For those who said that the ground was too complicated with too many twists and turns, well, this is the world of espionage and the film, he says, nothing is what it seems. However, as a person with skills in critical thinking, I noticed also that has been overlooked or ignored, or simply the producers went with the script hoping viewers to buy a movie “Just OK”.
I had planned to give an 8 to the last 10 minutes and then it just went south for me. ‘S Jason Borne series has this type of project in shame.

Do not you hate rookie because he has a hot chick and Al Pacino in it. It also contains a rapidly evolving field and a chase sequence where there are people to be thrown off track by Colin “The smile musket” Farrell. Unfortunately, due to intake is essentially a poor imitation of a sudden Tony Scott, lacks elements that make you want to see again. In fact, if you are tempted by recruiting, you should see Spy Game or an enemy of the state. These photos are just as fun and much better. Ted

James Clayton (Colin Farrell) is a great hacker, and was the first in his class at MIT. Walter Burke (Al Pacino) is a CIA recruiter and trainer and invited to be part of the CIA James Langton in the company, using as motivation the death of his father in 1990 in Peru. While being trained, James has a crush on his colleague Layla Moore (Bridget Moynahan) and he approaches her. During a training session of torture, James Langton asked to leave the farm. Later, Walter James tries saying it was really a great success and was hired to follow Layla, who is suspected of being a traitor. Ultimately, nothing is what it seems. A film with Al Pacino in the cast is synonymous with good or excellent film. It follows the rules. Have I specially like the great actor Colin Farrell and Bridget Moynahan beautiful. Although many clichés, this film is a great thriller full of plot points, and, in the end, good entertainment. Fans of the genre will not be disappointed. My vote is eight
